About this Event
Enjoy a special evening in the company of best-selling, Yorkshire-based author Sally Coulthard and YWT’s CEO Rachael Bice, as they explore the folklore and symbolism of our feathered friends. From songbirds to seagulls, nightingales to morning larks, the cultural language of the avian world is part of our daily lives – and few birds are as universally esteemed than our cherished festive companion, the robin.
Sally will share the journey of writing her latest book ‘Bird Lore’ which takes a fascinating flight through the myths, magic and meaning of birds. Rachael will then chair a Q&A to discover how our cultural connection with nature can lead to empathy and action for wildlife in crisis.
Enjoy a glass of wine mulled wine and mince pie on arrival, carol singing by Doncaster’s Coryllion Choir and an exclusive late night shopping opportunity. Purchase specially selected nature-inspired gifts from our shop, including signed copies of Sally’s book.
