"Justice, Faith, and Legacy: A Luncheon Commemorating the Feast Day of Thurgood Marshall"
Join us for a special luncheon celebrating the Feast Day of Thurgood Marshall on Saturday, May 17, 2025—a date that also marks the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education (1954).
This event will honor Marshall’s trailblazing legacy as a civil rights attorney, Supreme Court Justice, and devoted Episcopalian whose faith guided his fight for justice and equality. We will be privileged to welcome The Honorable Embry J. Kidd, Circuit Judge for the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, as our keynote speaker.
We will also present the Community Impact Award to Retired Florida Supreme Court Justice James E.C. Perry, recognizing his profound contributions to the legal profession and his commitment to advancing social justice in Florida.
Lastly, a scholarship will be awarded to the winner of our Thurgood Marshall High School Essay Contest.
This gathering is more than a celebration—it is a call to action as we honor those who continue Thurgood Marshall’s legacy in law, faith, and civil rights!
