WINNER OF BEST HORROR FILM AT THE CULVER CITY FILM FESTIVAL 2025
FEAR ANONYMOUS ()
Have you ever wondered what happens to all those unfortunate, blood-spattered, traumatized individuals who survive horror movies?
How do they continue with their lives?
Jack Miller, therapist in training, operates a small and earnest self-help group that focuses on fear and trauma--FEAR ANONYMOUS.
This story takes place in one of his meetings he holds at a local community center. Everyone in the group has a different story about why they have fear in their lives.
A stranger, Rick, seems to stumble upon this group of different people and decides to sit in. The unsettling stories from their pasts range from domestic infidelity, paranormal activity, and witches to cannibalism and even rape.
None of them is ready to move beyond their trauma...and none of the stories come close to what Rick brings with him.
Jack reassures everyone that they can overcome their anxiety and paranoia. "There's nothing to fear," he says.
But his deep breathing and positive psychology techniques are no match for the splurtingly violent denouement.
This is an anthology that will keep you on your feet--if you're not screaming with laughter or licking blood off your face. "It'll be fine," Jack says, until it isn't.
If you've ever enjoyed screaming "Get out of there!" at the hapless horror movie characters who wait too long to save themselves, FA is made for you.
FEAR ANONYMOUS is one hour and 45 minutes of pure, satirical, disgusting, hilarious and terrifying delight.
