Based on Alison Bechdel’s graphic memoir, the show explores her childhood, her coming out, and her relationship with her closeted father—all told through a series of poignant memories that weave humor and heartbreak. -Audition Forms – Complete the FCT Audition Form and list experience, role preferences, and conflicts.
-Scripts – Excerpts may be online; contact the director if a script is needed.
-Readings – Cold readings from the script; directors assess expression and volume.
-Vocal Audition – Prepare 32 bars of a song; vocal range check provided.
-Call-backs – Some actors may be invited to a callback to sing character-specific material.
-Casting Announcements – Directors will contact all auditioners within a few days via phone, text, or email.

Research the show and characters.
Prepare & rehearse your song; warm up beforehand.
Introduce yourself & your song clearly before singing.
Dress comfortably—you may be asked to move or dance.
Be confident—mistakes happen; keep going and stay in character.
Focus on storytelling during readings, not perfection.
