FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2024!!!Let the annual celebration of reading and comics begin! The first Saturday of May is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY #FCBD and there are FREE comics rated all-ages, general audiences, and mature readers. Something for EVERYONE!
That’s not all we’re giving away at RT HQ… in addition to FREE COMICS we are:
- Giving away DOOR PRIZES valued at $100 each!
- Hosting a pop-up ESCAPE ROOM for you to try!
- Your Gunpla Edmonton will be on hand to showcase and help you build some Gunpla kits!
- There will also be a store-wide SALE!
And if you’re feeling charitable after all those giveaways and want to get in on the fun…
We’re accepting donations to the @Edmonton Food Bank (cash and non-perishables) in exchange for original artwork from local artists!
Bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank and give it to our volunteers.
The volunteers will give you a commission slip based on the value of your donation:
- Small B&W Sketch for a minimum $15 donation
- Small Colour Sketch for a minimum $30 donation
- Large B&W Sketch for a minimum $25 donation
- Large Colour Sketch for a minimum $50 donation
Give the slip to the local Artist of your choice:

Your original artwork will take more than a few minutes to complete, we will give you a call when it’s ready for pick up at RT HQ following the FCBD shenanigans.

POP UP ESCAPE ROOM
We have something you won't find anywhere else... A custom designed POP UP ESCAPE ROOM!
Created by an RT regular and puzzler uber-fan Matthew, we're excited to have him share this unique experience with you all!
The challenge is this: After countless nights, your party finally stands in the final chamber. Before you lies the Altar of Ragnar, fabled to hold the key to defeating Mordax the Conqueror but only if you can discover its secrets . You must hurry though. Mordax senses your presence here and approaches. You must solve the enigmatic puzzles upon the altar swiftly before Mordax is upon you!
YOUR GUNPLA EDMONTON
Members of this local Gunpla (Gundum Play) community will be on hand with finished kits to display and kits for you to build!
As a bonus, they are also going to hold a raffle and Build Contest where folks could win a $50 Gift Certificate to Rolling Tales!
