FC2, the mighty independent alternate literary press (an imprint of the University of Alabama Press) turns 50 years old. FC2, an authors collective press, founded at Brooklyn College in 1974 celebrates with a series of reading around the country by author member editors. The reading at Tuscaloosa will feature local FC2 writers (Michael Martone, Vanessa Saunders, and Kellie Wells) along with UA XFA writers returning to Tuscaloosa (Sarah Blackman, Jess Richardson, and Adam Tipps Weinstein). Reception with refreshments begins at 6pm. The readings begin at 7pm. FC2 books will be available for purchase, thanks Ernest & Hadley Bookstore.
