About this Event
CUCyber has been invited by the FBI New York office for a presentation September 21 at 5-7pm at the NCFTA facility (1 Penn Plaza) about how the FBI solves cyber crimes and what opportunities exist for students who want to get involved in that mission.
During the event, 2 Cyber Agents will go over a cybersecurity related case study for approximately an hour, followed by a panel consisting of a Computer Scientist, IT Specialist Forensic Examiner, Digital Operations Specialist, and Cyber Tactical Specialist who will go over their backgrounds, how they got to where they are now, and what they do on a day-to-day basis.
Two of the club's FBI contacts at the event will also be there "to go over student/post-grad opportunities, the application process, and field recruitment-related questions."
All club members, including non-US citizens, are welcome to attend this presentation, and it will be a fantastic opportunity to learn about the mission and challenges of solving cyber crime (just be aware that the FBI can only hire US citizens).
