About this Event
Join the Feminist Bird Club Denver & Front Range Chapter for our September 2024 bird outing at Wheat Ridge Greenbelt! We will meet on Saturday, September 21st from 9-11am at the Youngfield Parking Lot at 3862 Youngfield Service Rd, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
We'll walk 1-2 miles at a slow pace on soft surface trails and a boardwalk. We'll head southeast from the trailhead, around West and Bass Lake towards Prospect Park and make a loop back to the trailhead.
The meet-up location includes free parking and restrooms. The terrain is mostly flat with gravel and a wooden boardwalk.
If you need help getting to this location, please DM us on Instagram or reach out to others on the chapter's WhatsApp.
If you can no longer attend this outing, please cancel your enrollment so someone on the waitlist has a chance to come!
September weather is variable, so please wear layers and bring snacks, water, and sunscreen in addition to your birding gear, if you have any.
All are welcome on this outing! No birding experience is needed! We can provide a loaner set of binoculars.
* We want to make sure we continue to take care of one another. Following current health guidelines, masks are optional on this walk. We ask that you please not bring your pets to this outing. Service animals are always welcome.
Please reach out to [email protected] or DM us on Instagram @fbc.denverfr if you have any questions or if anyone in your group has any accessibility needs we can help with.
