Part of Faversham’s Active Travel Month. This walk takes you through Faversham from East to West in some of the locations and buildings associated with our rich history. We start at Love Lane Cemetery, site of the mass grave and memorial to the men killed in The Great Explosion of 1916. Meet at Love Lane Cemetery in front of the Chapel at 3pm. Guide: Antony Millet.
NB: Numbers limited to 11 walkers wishing to take advantage of transportation back to the start point from West Faversham Community Centre via the Faversham Hopper Bus. No limit on numbers if you are making your own return travel arrangement.
There is a small charge of £3 per head for adults – pay at the Visitor Information Centre in advance or by cash only on the day to your guide (no change given – bring the correct amount!). Accompanied children and dogs go free.
