Favela Fridays at Sounds of Brazil is back! The best new Brazilian party in New York City, with live baile funk DJs and percussionists spinning all of your favorites. The music of ANITTA, LUDMILLA, PEDRO SAMPAIO, PABLLO VITTAR, MC FIOTI, LUÍSA SONZA, KEVIN O CHRIS, TROPKILLAZ, KEVINHO, MC POZE DO RODO, LEXA, GLORIA GROOVE, and more baile funk, funk ostentação, MPB, forro, and electro-samba.
Music by Daniel Costa, and live percussion from Meia Noite to keep the rhythms going all night loooooong. Late night happy hour with caipirinha and cachaça specials!
Sounds of Brazil was opened in 1982, becoming NYC’s hubspot for Brazilian culture with concerts, parties, and happy hours. Among the first to hit the stage were legends like Gilberto Gil, Astrud Gilberto, and Marisa Monte, followed by contemporary icons like Tropkillaz. From monthly samba happy hours to late-night baile funk parties, SOB’s continues to be the go-to spot for all things Brazil in NYC. <3
