About this Event
Come join us for the beautiful Requiem and Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré. As well, two local composers will be featured. Andrew Ager drew on Canadian poet Bliss Carman's poem to compose Garden Shadows, while Kevin Reeves drew inspiration from Archibald Lampman to compose In Beechwood Cemetery. The latter piece was written specifically for this concert.
Rideau Chorale will be joined by soprano Ania Hejnar and baritone Phil Holmes, as well as a small chamber orchestra featuring strings, French Horns, harp and organ.
Southminster United Church is wheelchair accessible through the Aylmer door closest to Bank Street.
