Do you work in remote locations? Do you or your colleagues come across injured wildlife?Kanyana offers a full day Fauna First Aid Course, suitable for mine site employees, rangers and other people working in remote locations.
Learn how to
• manage a First Aid Kit and basic supplies
• apply appropriate Occupational Health and Safety principles
• catch and restrain wildlife safely
• make an assessment of an injured or sick bird, reptile or mammal
• administer first aid for common injuries or illnesses
• safely prepare an animal for transport to a wildlife rehabilitation facility
• provide humane euthanasia when required
• release an animal back to its habitat
• identify common species for your region
Participants receive a 60 page Training Book, information about maintaining a suitable First Aid Kit, a list of useful contacts for support and supplies and ongoing advice from Kanyana.
The course is limited to small groups of 5-12 participants only.

About our Training
Kanyana Wildlife has many years of experience in providing training and skills development to volunteers, wildlife carers, vet students and mine site workers.
Our courses explore best practice wildlife care for different species, situations and skill levels and all participants are provided with hands on experience and comprehensive resources.
Kanyana was a winner of a Business Excellence Award in 2014 for our training and development program for volunteers and staff.
