Celebrate Juneteenth with Black in Mayberry at our "Fathers of Jazz: Juneteenth Swing Seminar & Dance Class" event! Join us for an evening of music, history, and dance as we honor the legacy of jazz and the pioneers of Lindy Hop.
The seminar, led by Denise Harris-Mins and Chester A. Whitmore, will be a fascinating presentation on Lindy Hop, a dance style created by Al Mins, Denise's father. Learn about the history and evolution of this iconic dance form, and gain insights into its cultural significance.
Following the seminar, join us for a swing/lindy hop dance class where you can learn the basics of this energetic and joyful dance style. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to participate!
