Kid Billy is the solo project from Billy Litz, the lead singer and multi-instrumentalist in the Asheville based band, Hustle Souls. Drawing inspiration from early Americana Roots, Blues, Trad-Jazz, and Indie-Folk, Kid Billy infuses his music with heartfelt lyricism and infectious energy. At times a traditional singer-songwriter with acoustic guitar, harmonica, and an emotive voice, Kid Billy also breaks the “solo” project mold with tasteful live-looping that sounds more like a duo, trio, or even full brass band weaving together New Orleans trumpet, honky-tonk piano, acoustic guitar, and harmonica with tasteful live looping. This unique approach results in a jubilant sound that captivates audiences and leaves them guessing what is next and wanting more.
