About this Event
A visit to Father Christmas at Picton includes a whole day out to the castle and gardens.
There is a Christmas trail in the gardens and crafts in the Family Room. Inside the castle, the ground floor will be transformed into an indoor Lapland. Your little ones can hunt for Elf Doors and write Christmas wishes on our Wishing Tree. The castle's grand reception rooms (where you will meet Father Christmas) will be sumptously decorated. There will be a roaring log fire in the Great Hall and parlour games. Father Christmas will be in his traditional green cloak, Mother Christmas and all her helpers will be in Victorian costume too. Every child meeting Father Christmas will receive a gift.
Your visit to see Father Christmas is the only timed part of the day (to minimise your wait). You can wander inside the castle and gardens as long as you wish, making a whole day out of your visit. The gardens are open from 10 am and the castle opens at 11.30am.
Please book your child/children's time to visit Father Christmas here. Each slot allows a maximum of 3 children. If you wish to bring more children, please book an additional slot. The cost is £15 for children 2-15 years, under 2s are free.
All children will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adult/senior admission can be purchased at the ticket box on the day (adult admission is £7.25 and senior sdmission is £6.25). Annual (season) pass holders' admission is included in their pass. All children will need to pay to visit Father Christmas, including those otherwise covered by an Annual (season) Pass.
