The Town of Jonesborough Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the First Annual Turkey Bowl, taking place on Sunday, November 23. This new family-friendly flag football event invites parents and kids to team up for a fun, active day before the Thanksgiving holiday.ππ¦The Turkey Bowl is designed as a father-son event, but mothers, daughters, and all family members are encouraged to participate. Divisions will be organized by the childβs age: 5β8, 9β12, 13β16, and 17 & up.
Each division will be limited to a maximum of four teams, and every team is guaranteed three games, ensuring plenty of playtime for everyone.
For parents who canβt participate, or families with multiple children, the department has created the Adopt-A-Pop Program. This special initiative pairs volunteers with children so no one has to miss out on the fun. Volunteers can step in for parents who are unable to attend, those recovering from injuries, or grandparents who care for kids. The Adopt-A-Pop program makes sure every child has a chance to play, no matter their situation.
The registration fee is $5, which covers both the parent and child. Those registering through the Adopt-A-Pop Program pay $15 and must register directly by emailing [email protected]. ποΈ

The registration deadline is November 14. Flags and pennies will be provided, and team divisions are based on the childβs age. π
