Fate & Fiction: Tarot and Storycraft Collide with A. L. Sterling and Erin Archer

Join A. L. Sterling (Foresyth Conservatory) and Erin Archer (Fairytale Tarot series) for an afternoon exploring Tarot as one of the oldest and most powerful storytelling systems in human history.
The event begins with a lecture from 12:00–12:30 PM, examining how Tarot encodes universal stories in the form of archetypes, transformation, power, and fate, and why the cards have endured as such a potent source of inspiration. Drawing on their novels, Sterling and Archer will show how Tarot can shape character arcs, structure plots, and reveal the hidden logic of a story.
A Q&A immediately follows, inviting conversation about Tarot as myth, metaphor, and narrative tool. Attendees will leave with new ways to use the cards to write—or rewrite—their own stories, whether they’re drafting a novel or rewriting their personal narratives.
The afternoon concludes with a joint book signing from 1:00–3:00 PM.
