We are debuting our BRAND NEW Fat Shack 5K Challenge by hosting a competitive eating contest! 10 contestants will race to eat 5,000 calories in 15 minutes or less, with the fastest winner qualifying to compete in our 2025 Main Event where competitors will race for $5,000 in cash prizes.

Q: What is the Fat Shack 5K?
A: Fat Shack's newest eating challenge where challengers will attempt to eat 5,000 calories in 15 minutes or less.
Q: What menu items make up the 5,000 calorie challenge?
A: The 5K takes our challengers on a tour of the Fat Shack menu and consists of 1 Double Cheeseburger with a side of Fries, 1 Whole Fat Shack sandwich, a Dozen Mac'n'Cheese Bites, and 5 Deep-Fried Oreos. All in 15 minutes or less!
Q: How do the eating competition qualifying events work?
A: Competitors that sign up for local qualifying events will compete alongside 3 to 10 total competitors. Everyone will have a full Fat Shack 5K Challenge placed in front of them and will begin eating at the same time attempting to eat their food in under 15 minutes and racing to see who can finish their Challenge the fastest. Whoever finishes their Challenge the fastest (adhering to all rules listed in a separate waiver), will be declared the 1st place finisher/winner of the event. The top 3 finishers at each event will be awarded prizes at their local Fat Shack, but the 1st place finisher will also be awarded entry into our 5K Main Event. The Main Event is where they will have the chance to compete against other qualifying winners to race for $5000 in cash prizes.
Q: How do I enter the $5,000 Main Event eating competition that will take place in 2025?
A: The only way to enter our 2025 Main Event and have a chance to compete for $5,000 in cash prizes is to come in 1st place at one of our qualifying events at your local Fat Shack.
Q: When and where will the $5,000 Main Event take place?
A: The Main Event eating competition will be hosted at one of our Colorado Fat Shack locations on Saturday January 25th, 2025. Exact time TBD.
Q: What happens if a 1st place winner at a qualifying event cannot attend the Main Event?
A: We will be collecting the contact information for 1st and 2nd place finishers at all qualifying events. If the 1st place finisher cannot attend the Main Event, then the 2nd place finisher from that qualifying event will be invited to the Main Event.
