Have you always wanted to try ballet but felt that being in a bigger body has held you back?
Maybe you have tried before but had a bad experience with fatphobic teachers or fellow pupils?
Did you used to practice ballet in a smaller body but your body has changed?
Join professional fat dancer Hildy Harland in her ballet class built specifically to provide a space for plussize people to learn and enjoy ballet in a judgement-free environment.
This class is suitable for absolute beginners and those who have practiced ballet before, you will learn ballet technique with an emphasis on enjoyment and working with our bodies rather than against them.
WHAT TO WEAR
ballet shoes or socks will be needed for the floor we are working on (no trainers)
please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and supported, ideally something tight to your legs and something that I can see your body posture in.
ALL GENDERS WELCOME
All participants must be age 18+
