Come join us at Thames Dragon Boat Club for a thrilling day of learning about Dragon Boating! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete newbie, this event is perfect for anyone looking to dive into the world of dragon boating. Get ready for the rush as you paddle through the waters of the Thames River with our experienced instructors guiding you every step of the way. Your ticket will entitle you to 3 months of membership to our club during which time you can come join us as many times as you like.

Who are we?
Thames Dragon Boat Club is a not-for-profit community sports club based at Royal Albert Dock, East London. We are an inclusive and diverse club, welcoming members from all ethnic backgrounds, genders and ages to join us. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly. Who can join?
You will need to be able to swim at least 50 metres with buoyancy aid to join this event.
What's the minimum age requirements to enter the event?
We have a minimum age of 16 to attend this event
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The nearest station is Royal Albert on the DLR (2minutes walk). There is paid parking at the London Regatta Centre.
What can I bring into the event?
This is a water sport and as such you will need to bring some clothes you don't mind getting wet - though its unlikely you will get too wet!
Flip flops or water resistant shoes are best, plus shorts or a t-shirt, although if you feel the cold you may want to wear longer shorts or an extra layer - remember you will also be wearing a buoyancy aid and if its a sunny day don't forget a hat and bring the sunscreen.
Please bring clothes you can change into afterwards - there are changing rooms and showers at London Regatta Centre
There are lockers where you can use to put your stuff away while you are having fun on the boat.
If you want, you can also bring a bottle of water into the boat.

Refund Policy
There's no refund for this event.
Can the event be cancelled?
We will only cancel the event if the weather is bad enough for the London Regatta Centre to close the dock. This only usually occurs when there are high winds or fog. We will still paddle if its hot, raining or overcast. If the event is cancelled, we will provide another date and if you can't attend the new date, the ticket will be refunded.
