Discover the untold story behind second-hand clothing in Ghana, where "Obroni W'awu" loosely translates to "clothes of the dead white man."

Western clothing donations fuel a booming industry, but do you know their real impact? It's more than just environmental; it's a matter of justice.

Led by Adelle A'asante, a multidisciplinary artist, lived experience storyteller and holder and sharer of Africaniwa sacred spaces where the story of the lived and the living experience is honoured as a radical knowledge building and sharing project.

Adelle, whose family has been in the second-hand business for over three decades in Ghana, has lived the Western narrative of fashion sustainability.

This immersive workshop sheds light on the hidden injustices within the fashion industry. Explore the journey from donor to recipient, uncovering untold voices along the value chain.
