About this Event
This event is launching a month-long exhibition of work from the Fashion Police project. A collaborative project involving students and staff at Birmingham City University and the West Midlands Police Museum, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The exhibition showcases fashion, digital innovation and personal narratives, to show over 50 years of uniform evolution within the West Midlands police.
The installation offers audiences the opportunity to explore the intersection of heritage, technology and contemporary design. The exhibition contains both physical and digital replicas of police uniforms from different time periods produced by BCU students, a chance to digitally try on different informs using snapchat, and personal histories from those that wore the uniforms.
Exhibition is located in the Parkside Gallery/Atrium, City Centre Campus, Birmingham City University.
