About this Event

Rockne S. O’Bannon began his screenwriting career as Story Editor on CBS’s 1980s revival of The Twilight Zone and writer on NBC’s Amazing Stories. Since then he has created/showrun five highly-regarded speculative-fiction series -- AlienNation (based on his 1988 film), Farscape, SeaQuest DSV (with Steven Spielberg), Defiance, and Cult. He has served as Executive Producer on the NBC series Revolution and Constantine, and is currently in his fourth year as an Executive Producer on the Paramount+ series Evil. For his work in film and TV, he has won an unprecedented nine Saturn Awards, presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. His work has also received nominations for the Hugo Award, cable Ace Award and from the Writers Guild of America.
Sarah Gailey is a Hugo Award Winning and Bestselling author of speculative fiction, short stories, and essays. They have been a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus awards for multiple years running. Their bestselling adult novel debut, Magic For Liars, was published by Tor Books in 2019. Their most recent novel, Just Like Home, and most recent original comic book series with BOOM! Studios, Know Your Station are available now. Their shorter works and essays have been published in Mashable, The Boston Globe, Vice, Tor.com, and The Atlantic. Keith R.A. DeCandido has been writing for and/or about Star Trek since the turn of the millennium. On the fiction side, he’s written sixteen novels (among them the USA Today best-selling A Time for War, a Time for Peace and the acclaimed and influential Articles of the Federation), thirteen novellas (among them several contributions to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers series), nine short stories (most recently “You Can’t Buy Fate” and “Work Worth Doing” for Star Trek Explorer magazine), six comic books (including the acclaimed one-shot Alien Spotlight: Klingons), one reference book (the coffee-table tome The Klingon Art of War), and a bunch of role-playing game content (such as contributions to The Klingon Empire Core Rulebook). He has also written commentary and reviews about Trek for Entertainment Weekly, Star Trek Magazine, the Gold Archive and Outside In series, and most prolifically for the award-winning webzine Tor.com, for which he’s been reviewing and rewatching Trek since 2011.

Beyond the final frontier, Keith has written in more than thirty different licensed universes from Alien to Zorro, as well as fiction in worlds of his own creation. Some of his recent and upcoming work includes the fantasy novels Phoenix Precinct and Feat of Clay, the Resident Evil comic book Infinite Darkness: The Beginning, the urban fantasy short-story collection Ragnarok and a Hard Place: More Tales of Cassie Zukav, Weirdness Magnet, and short fiction in Sherlock Holmes: Cases by Candlelight Vol. 2, Phenomenons: Season of Darkness, Joe Ledger: Unbreakable, Thrilling Adventure Yarns 2022, Weird Tales, and The Good, the Bad, and the Uncanny.

Russ Colchamiro is author of the Sci-Fi thrillers Crackle and Fire, Fractured Lives, Hot Ash, and Blunt Force Rising, the ongoing series featuring hardboiled private eye Angela Hardwicke. Russ is also the author of the rollicking time travel/space adventure, Crossline, is the editor of the Sci-Fi mystery anthology Love, M**der & Mayhem, co-author and -editor of the noir anthology M**der in Montague Falls and has contributed to various other anthologies.

A member of The Mystery Writers Association, The Private Eye Writers of America, Horror Writers Association, and the author collective Crazy 8 Press, Russ also hosts and produces his Russ’s Rockin’ Rollercoaster podcast, where he interviews best-selling and up-and-coming Sci-Fi, fantasy, crime, mystery, thriller, and horror authors.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife, twin ninjas, black lab, Jinx, and precocious cat, Callie.
