Experience a traditional family farm and learn about farming, then chat about it at Cerne Abbas Brewery over a drink and sandwich
Meet at Cerne Abbas Brewery, Barton Meadows Farm, Cerne Abbas DT2 7JS
We depend upon farms for our food, and many of us live in close proximity to them. But how much do you know or understand about how our food is grown? Tom Horsington farms his family’s traditional mixed farm of arable, dairy and beef cattle, and sheep. This session will begin in the yard at Barton Meadows where he will introduce farming using real animals and crops from their farm as visual aids, and then continue with a walk along the valley to discuss how the land is managed. Please dress appropriately. Well-behaved dogs welcome.
£8 including ½ pint or soft drink at Cerne Abbas Brewery and a meat/cheese/vegan sandwich at the end of the walk.
