Join us for an exclusive Farmers Brunch that will feature fresh produce from several local farms - examples include local fish, eggs and quail eggs, organic mushrooms, organic vegetables, and edible wild leaves and flowers.
The rustic farmers platter will be a Nasi ambeng style local brunch for 2.
? 11:30am - 12:30pm: Urban Chicken Husbandry
Want to take urban farming to the next level and raise your own brood of chicks? There are many benefits to it, including having your own home-laid eggs, education for children, personal wellbeing and happiness. Think it's impossible to grow chickens in apartments? It absolutely isn't! Join urban farmer Jeremy Beckman in our first-ever Urban Chicken Husbandry workshop at Crane Club's Farmers' Day Out.
? 1:30pm: Meet the Farm Animals
Singapore's farmers are coming to town! Join us in the heart of the city at Crane Club to meet small farm animals and learn about Singapore's local farms!
The 45 minute session will involve two virtual farm tours of Hay Dairies Goat Farm and Jurong Frog Farm, and a meet the animals session with American Bullfrogs and Baby chicks. Participants can expect to learn about local animal farms and products, and each family ticket is inclusive of a farm goody bag.
♻️ 2:30pm: Food Composting & Microfarming Workshop
Move towards a zero-waste lifestyle with home composting! This basic workshop will introduce you to the science and processes of turning kitchen and other household and garden waste to rich garden compost.
All materials will be provided. Participants may collect and bring their own kitchen waste for further discussions.
? 3:30pm: Succulent Kokedama Workshop
Want to green your home but don't want to fuss about plant care? We heard you! In this one-of-a-kind Kokedama and Succulents growing workshop, you will create your own plant baby that will beautify your home but hardly need any care!
