About this Event

Farm Bounce NOLA is a three-day, thoughtfully curated experience designed to immerse you in New Orleans' customs and foodways, primarily by way of agriculture. Steeped in rich traditions, we invite you to dig into a distinct American city that remains a vibrant cultural fixture.

Participants will have a chance to interact and talk with real farmers, ranchers and producers, all the while becoming a part of an expanding collective that is redesigning and remapping our food and agricultural ecosystem.

Hosted by Black Farmers Index (The Index), a 501(c)(3) organization, we focus on initiatives that gather, grow, and ground Black agriculturalists. We also highlight how they play a vital role in stewarding land, knowledge, and resilience across generations.

Ultimately, our work aims to establish more effective "consumer-to-farmer" pipelines to ensure the public has knowledge about and access to healthy, fresh food, and for all farmers and communities to thrive.

This event is part of our work with USDA's Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) Southeast region.

Farm Bounce NOLA continues our efforts to cultivate sustainable spaces, provide substantial opportunities through agriculture, preserve growing legacies, and build power around foodways. Join us from Friday, October 31st - Sunday, November 2nd. For lodging, our host hotel is the JW Marriott.

Please note that most of the activities during the three-day event will involve a moderate-to-significant amount of walking, potentially over uneven terrain.

If you have specific accessibility or accommodation needs, we kindly ask that you contact us prior to purchasing your ticket so we can discuss how to best support your participation.

As a small but mighty team, we are committed to doing our very best to meet your needs; however, there may be some requests we are unable to fully accommodate. We appreciate your understanding and encourage open communication so that we can create as welcoming an experience as possible.
