Nikita Demidenko is a musician, whose interest lies in transforming the messages hidden in the notes on the page into a tale or a story that can not only be told by the voice of piano, but also be heard as the speech of composer himself. He was awarded a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music and has been involved in many interesting projects there, even as poet as well as pianist, writing epigraphs for Schumann’s Albumblatter op.124.
Nikita is the winner of numerous international competitions, including ‘Open Spain’ and ‘Golden Piano Talents’, where he also received a special award ‘Most Promising Pianist 2022’. Nikita is the founder of the Forgotten Melodies Society, which aims to provide a platform for students of London conservatories and encourage the performance of rarely played music, holding. Nikita holds monthly concerts at Annunciation Church Marble Arch. The opening concert of the Forgotten Melodies Society was dedicated to music of Nikolai Medtner and Nikita’s programme will feature Medtner’s monumental ‘Night Wind Sonata’, as well as works by Liszt, including Liebestraüm No. 3 and Schumann.
