About this Event
Join us for an evening of networking and discover how AI detects anomalies in everyday behavior at our AI Happy Hour event! This in-person event will take place on Monday 25 November at 17:30 in the FARI Test and Experience Center (Cantersteen 16, 1000 Brussels).
Patrick Van der Spiegel - PhD candidate at FARI and VUB’s Artificial Intelligence Lab - will explain how we define normal behaviour, use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to spot anomalies, and the impact of mistakes.
Description of the session:
Identifying significant deviations from normal behaviour plays a growing role in our everyday lives, often without us realising it. This raises key questions: What defines 'normal' behaviour? When does a deviation in this behaviour become significant? Where do these anomalies come from, and how should we respond to them? In this session, we will demystify the use of AI in anomaly detection using everyday examples and discuss what happens when things go wrong.
Is this for you? Administrators, industry professionals and AI enthusiasts are invited to join this session.
A balanced mix of learning and relaxation - Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with Patrick, followed by a casual happy hour with snacks and beverages!
This event is free to attend, but registration is compulsory.
This event is organized by FARI - AI for the Common Good Institute.
