Bring your own vinyl for tunes, conversations, and drinks on the first Thirsty Thursday of July at 8:30pm.
How does "Bring Your Own Vinyl" work? We bring the turntable, you bring your records. Peops bring vinyl from home and talk -- "Look at this ridiculous cover" "Where did you find that?" "This record always reminds me of..." and so forth. It's a social event to listen to new sounds and meet new people.
More of a music appreciation event than gapless DJing, we play whole sides of records (time allowing) instead of queueing songs and beat matching. We recommend no more than two or three records, and we'll try to play at least two.
We're also doing a monthly raffle to give away good finds we think you'll enjoy. Some are bigger titles, some are fun gems from crate digging – each dollar in the tip jar gets you a chance to win. Come enjoy the tunes, and see what you can add to your collection!
