Join us in kicking off the Far Out Free Fest with a screening of a mysterious stack of VHS tapes we found in the attic at The Backlot -- not really, but this short film showcase promises to transport you to worlds both surreal and fantastical.The 2024 Far Out film showcase is excited to host 15 films from filmmakers local and worldwide, including the world premiere of "The New Way Program" by Billy Senese with brief Q&A to follow. A live performance by THE BORDERLANDER will close out the night.
CONTENT WARNINGS This year's film showcase is recommended for ages 17 and up due to graphic content.
*Please note: space is limited for this free event, and RSVPs are required to enter.
Support the Free Fest by purchasing a "cult member" ticket and join us for a casual meet and greet with some of the local filmmakers involved as well as the director and principal cast of "The New Way Program" before doors officially open. Cult member ticket holders also gain early access to the space for priority seating choice as well as a limited edition risograph poster.
