About this Event
What is a First Aid Responder?

A First Aid Responder may be a healthcare practitioner, or a member of the public who has undertaken a First Aid Response course incorporating the Cardiac First Response (CFR) standard. In addition to CFR skills, the First Aid Responder possesses defined skills in the further management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS). The First Aid Responder is able to assess and manage these patients in accordance with PHECC Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).


About this course

This course is an 11 week course facilitated by the Order of Malta, Marino Unit. The full schedule is available below and a participant must attend every week to be eligible to receive the PHECC Certification.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds on purchased tickets - however this course is run twice a year in the same location and we are happy to offer an exchange to another [FAR] course up to 30 days before the start date of the course.

Attendee's must be able to attend all Modules and achieve a pass rate of 80% in order to be certified.
How will I be assessed?

This course has two assessment components an MCQ worth 50% and a practical assessment worth 50%. You must receive 80% of the marks in both to achieve your certification.
