"Fantasy Island" is back, our event that has the intention of bridging the worlds of Burning Man and Ibiza and connecting you with their music and magic. Our last one with Sven Vath at 1015 last September was AMAZING!To continue that epic vibe, we are excited to feature Daniel Bell, the legendary Detroit house & techno pioneer as our featured guest!
Joining him is Rooz (Deep Blue), and Airpusher residents Cptn Jay and J-KIND. Put on your dancing shoes, don some Burner gear and/or Ibiza wear, and come ready to get down on the patio with Midway's pristine Funktion One sound system to some incredible deep and tasty beats!

Daniel Bell is one of the few old-school legends of Detroit still at the forefront of electronic music today. Originally influenced by Chicago House and avant-garde composers such as Steve Reich, Bell’s music laid the foundation for what is now known as the “minimalist” approach in house and techno music. After smashing on the scene with the 1994 single “Losing Control”, described by AllMusic as “one of the biggest underground smashes of the decade”, Bell has been a staple across labels with dozens of hypnotically stark compositions even co-founding the 7th City, Harmonie Park and Elevate record labels.
In 2000, after the overwhelming success of his first mix CD, “The Button-Down Mind of Daniel Bell” (Resident Advisor awarded it 2nd Best Mix CD of the 00’s), Bell became the first North American DJ to take up permanent residence in Berlin where he released more tracks and spent the bulk of his years there on a relentless DJ schedule that took him to almost every part of the globe. In 2008, Bell launched his first world tour as a solo live act. Despite the trend toward laptop live shows, Bell travelled with a collection of vintage synths and drum machines. The tour was met with critical acclaim and was awarded Resident Advisor’s Best Live Act of 2008 – “DBX live proved that Bell remains techno’s greatest reducer”.

Rooz DJ/Promoter for San Francisco's Deep Blue Events and producer for Blue Orb records with partner Bardia F with tracks played by Stacey Pullen, Marco Carola, Pirupa, etc. Music style is late night trippy house, driving techno/techhouse and funky house grooves. With regular residencies and appearances at San Francisco’s house music nightclubs since 1999, Rooz is known for playing underground warehouse parties and warming up the dance floor for the likes of Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Stacey Pullen, Dubfire, Derrick May, etc.

J-KIND is a DJ/Producer residing in San Francisco Bay Area of California. His diverse and eclectic style transcends many genres, and is currently focused on his burning passion for techno. Listening to a J-KIND mix is inevitably a deep journey through various moods, and listeners are guaranteed a thrilling exploration of various emotions set to relentless, stomping and often times, funky beats. Whether or not it's deep, introspective, jazzy, urgent or imperative, your neck is guaranteed to move to the beat once he works the dancefloor into a frenzy with the bottomless crate of jewels in his crate.

Positivity, heart connection, organic grooves, and good vibes house and techno music. Cptn Jay has been connecting people on the dancefloor though DJing, producing unique event experiences, and enabling general merriment in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Starting his journey in the 90s San Francisco rave scene with a handful of German techno and trance tapes, Jay quickly hit all the checkpoints from dance music super fan to DJ, to event promoter, to Burning Man theme camp organizer, Airpusher Collective co-founder, to now producing his own dance music on analog modular synths as well as some of the most unique, experiential dance music events in the Bay Area.

Airpusher Collective will be setting the stage for an unforgettable day of fun in the sun with our signature visual aesthetic, interactive experiences, and sizzling live performances. There are no parties with the combination of creativity, energy, music, and intention to the party experience anywhere else in the Bay. All of Airpusher’s proceeds from this fundraising event will be going to ongoing airship repairs and fun new projects for Burning Man 2022.
