Fantasy Art Show Vista!
Presented by Vista Art Foundation and Twisted Heart Puppetworks, Fantasy Art Show Vista, hosted by Twisted Horn Mead and Cider, invites artists to submit their work for just $20.00, with the option to showcase up to three pieces. Vote in our people's choice competition and the winner will receive a prize! Join us in celebrating fantasy art, community, and RPG culture!
HUZZAH! What is Fantasy Art for you?
We invite you to express your vision of D&D and other RPG inspired fantasy art! Share your unique interpretation of fantasy creatures, cryptids, characters, classes and scenarios! This is a juried artist exhibition and will be displayed at Renn Faire Night on August 17th, 2024 at The Twisted Horn Mead and Cider Hall in Vista. This event benefits arts in Vista and Project Evergreen, a donation-based group that gives Christmas trees away to needy households in North County.
Submissions are due by AUGUST 1st!

By submitting your art to the Fantasy Art Show Vista, you agree to the following:
1) While the utmost care will be taken with all artwork submitted the Vista Art Foundation, its staff and volunteers or agents, and any exhibition jurors, if applicable, are withheld from any and all actions, suits, damages, claims, and demands whatsoever for any damage to art and/or personal liability. The Vista Art Foundation and/or its agents accept no responsibility for losses due to damaged/broken/lost or stolen art. Artist accepts all responsibility for art submitted for exhibition.
2) There is an entry processing fee of $20 per entry. The limit on the number entries an artist may submit is 3 art pieces. Entry fee must be paid by August 1st with an email submission of up to three images to be juried. Please send images to [email protected] You will be notified when the artwork is juried and what dropoff proticol is. All accepeted artwork will need to be in hangable format and dropped off by the artist at a specified location.
3) Artwork must be no larger than 24"x 30" in size. Installation of the show will be indoors, at Twisted Horn Mead and Cider. Work may be framed or unframed. Gallery wrapped canvas okay. Three-dimensional works, such as masks, are acceptable as are works in any medium or style as long as they are considered wall hangings and do not extend more than 6” in depth and are twenty pounds or less. ALL ARTWORK MUST HAVE A HANGING WIRE FOR SUSPENSION FROM RACK HOOKS. If artwork is unable to be installed on racks where display is planned, it may not be included in the show.
4) All pictures of Submission MUST BE EMAILED TO [email protected]
The Subject line should read: "YOUR FULL NAME - FANTASY ART VISTA" SUBMISSION
Digital scans of artwork must be high quality (high resolution .jpeg or .pdf) to be considered for promotional material regarding the art exhibition.
5) While the intent of the Vista Art Foundation and Twisted Heart Puppetworks is to exhibit as much art as we can, your submission does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibition. Submissions will be reviewed by a jury prior to the show. If artwork is found not suitable for the show due to space constraints, cohesion, or following the theme, artwork may not be included in the show. Also, artwork that is overtly political or grotesque may not be suitable for inclusion in the show. Our exhibition is a public 21 and up venue so, adult themes are accepatable for submission.
6) To be considered for the exhibition, artwork must reflect the nature and theme of the show. Artists are invited to answer the title of the show: Fantasy Art Show Vista, and should further reflect work that is inspired by Roll Playing Games such as D&D and Pathfinder. Sci-fi and horror RPG inspired work is also accepatable. Artwork must be in good taste and reflect quality composition. Artwork must look exactly the same as when photographed at time of entry. Artwork can be disqualified if changed or embellished after the official online submittal.
7) All works will remain in the exhibition until close of show. I, the artist, will be held responsible for the pickup of all artwork by Sunday, August 25th , between 2pm - 5pm. If your artwork is not retieved it becomes a donation to Vista Art Foundation. Any sold artwork is the sole responsibility of the artist.
8) The artist grants the Vista Art Foundation and Twisted Heart Puppetworks permission to use submitted art for any promotional purposes, including printed material and/or online representations related to the exhibition or future exhibitions.
9) All submissions must be display ready. Art must arrive ready to hang with WIRE HANGING HARDWARE (no sawtooth hardware). If framed , professional, high quality durable framing is expected. If the Juror deems the art to be unsuitable for hanging, the art will be disqualified.
10) Purchase process: A donation to the Vista Art Foundation of 20% of the selling price is suggested. Donations help to underwrite and continue future Vista Art Foundation programs. Artist agrees to broker all sales.
