Fantastic Characters with Briony Stewart

Ever flicked through the pages of a picture book and dreamed about creating fantastic characters that bend, twist, jump and leap off every page? To celebrate the upcoming release of her dazzling new picture book, 'Gymnastica Fantastica!' award-winning author and illustrator Briony Stewart is running an interactive illustration workshop, where you will learn how to draw some of her most beloved characters and create a colourful portrait of your own.

This workshop is best suited for children 6-12 and their grown-ups. Please note that all children aged under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian. Each ticket includes entry for one child and their guardian. You will be emailed with details about where to go for your workshop prior to the day. Please bring a note pad and pencil to your session.

This workshop is presented through the Scribblers Family Festival The Scribblers Family Festival is a joyous two-day festival, bringing together some of the best children’s and YA creatives from Australia and beyond. It’s packed with storytelling, art, workshops, and creativity galore.

This year the Family Weekend will be held on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of October in the Cathedral Square Precinct.
