About this Event

Join us on the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place New York for an interactive Sound Session for Holistic Healing with Jinah Parker.

Activate your body’s natural ability to heal through an interactive sound session. During this experience, Jinah will guide you through light movement, simple breath work, and visualizations that send you drifting off into the healing vibrations of a sound bath. Each stage of the process is curated to support you in receiving the maximum amount of benefits from the process. Break up congested energy in the body and activate the chakras with movement. Exhale stale energy and calm the mind through breathwork. Then let your subconscious mind explore new levels of growth through guided visualizations and sound. Through the use of alchemy crystal singing bowls, gongs, various chimes, and other healing instruments, you will experience a deep state of relaxation along with an array of other dynamic benefits. Evidence indicates that the soothing comfort of music can potentially decrease stress-related illnesses and serve as a catalyst for emotional and psychological healing. Jinah’s approach is both creative and backed by her research as a PhD student of mind-body medicine.

About The Fandangoe Skip *on tour*

Following 2021’s successful UK tour of The Fandangoe Whip, Annie Nicholson, AKA The Fandangoe Kid has partnered with Skip Gallery and CAUKIN Studio to present The Fandangoe SKIP, an ice cream kiosk made from a re-purposed skip in London and New York. The original project toured the UK offering ice cream and mental health support to diverse communities as we began to emerge from the global pandemic and all its challenges. Founded by artist Annie Nicholson, following her own experiences of grief, this project seeks to smash taboos around grief and mental health and offer an alternative space to open up the conversation, alongside a therapeutic programme curated by The Loss Project.

We are excited to bring the Fandangoe Skip on Tour to Brookfield Place New York in partnership with Brookfield Properties who are commissioning us. The New York installation will be created from a repurposed dumpster and feature a wide array of public programming, including talks, workshops, and arts activations on the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place.
