Come learn the art of fan veils with a fun choreography created by Amorina! Fan veils can be used to help with posture, extension and strengthen your arm technique much like using a 3 yard silk veil will do. Fan veils are a modern prop widely used since the 90s that add that extra wow factor. Picture a beautiful swirling silk following majestic music and enhancing the dancers every move.In this class we will begin with warmups, helping to open, shoulders and hands then we will drill fan veil techniques with basic belly dance movements and turn those movements into combos that are part of the choreography. Each class we will review and add new combo building on previous classes choreo so it's suggested that students try to attend most of the classes. Below are some fan veil links in case you would like to purchase a pair which is highly recommended for practice. There will be extra fan veils in class if anyone doesn't have them or forgets them.
