This family workshop is suitable for ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Tickets are free or you may make a donation.
Let your “Marvelous Me” shine in this family workshop with Teaching Artist, Jenny Dale Stables. Explore the art of wire sculpture and found object assemblage as you create a representation of your inner self. Participants will learn how to twist, bend, and shape wire to create their own masterpiece.
This workshop is part of the Arts & Culture Sparrow Family Workshop Series gratefully funded by the City of Calgary.
About the Instructor Jenny Dale Stables, B.F.A., B.Ed., T.A.P.
Jenny Dale Stables is an accomplished artist and educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and Certificate as a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner. Through her business, Jenny Dale Designs, Jenny creates whimsical paintings, sculptures, puppets, illustrated books, and poetry, in addition to offering art residencies to schools throughout Alberta. She has written and/or illustrated 20 publications including picture books, poetry collections, chapter books, educational resources, and early readers. Her artwork is inspired by the children she works with- their joy and curiosity about the world.
