About this Event
Workshop
Join us on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for our monthly Family Workshop at the East Los Angeles County Library. The workshop will be in conjunction with our current exhibition at the Art Share L.A., Floating on Cotton: Freedom Maps, Trade Routes and City Codes. In this workshop, teaching artist Zoe Blaq will lead a leaf print art workshop. Leaf print art emphasizes the significance and advantages of local flora and fauna nesting in the fall. Leaves, brush piles, logs, stems, and flower heads may seem like debris, but they’re essential homes for wildlife.
Celebrate fall’s colors by making leaf prints, and remember the vital role these habitats play in helping pollinators survive the winter!
This workshop is open to all ages and no prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided to participants. Walk-ins are welcome!
