About this Event
Family Tree Maker Executive Director Duff Wilson and Genealogy Community Ambassador Mark Olsen are touring five cities across Arizona to present the latest features and innovations of FTM 2024. During this tour, they will be visiting four Arizona Family Tree Maker User Groups and one additional society in Yuma.
Each event will include interactive demonstrations with lots of tips, techniques, helpful insights, and Q&A with those in attendance, much like a Family Tree Maker User Group meeting.
Some of the topics we will discuss -
- An introduction to Family Tree Maker for those who are new to it.
- Family Tree Maker’s strengths including many unknown and underused features.
- Connect! A completely new workspace and new Relative Hint™ feature that make it easier than ever to share your tree and collaborate with your family.
- Easy on the Eyes™: a revolutionary way of enlarging parts of the screen right when you need them. An answer and relief for those of us with tired old eyes.
- Hyphenated dual surnames support following the Hispanic tradition.
- Improved support for managing and reporting relationships.
- Tools for cleaning up orphaned items (media, sources, and citations).
- New improvements to Family Tree Maker Connect, and using Family Tree Maker Connect for yourself.
- Introducing AlbumWALK® – a "game-changer" for capturing memories in photos.
- Working seamlessly between Family Tree Maker and AlbumWALK.
- Time for your own questions and answers (Q&A).
- Hands on help with Family Tree Maker on your own computer as time permits after each event.
