Join us for a special Story Time featuring the Caldecott Award-winning book We Are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom (Anishinaabe/Métis/Ojibwe) and illustrated by Michaela Goade (Tlingit/Haida). This beautiful and powerful story is a call to protect the Earth’s precious water resources. Our storyteller, Jocelyn Sanchez (Santa Ana), will guide us through this bold, lyrical picture book that reminds us of the importance of safeguarding our planet.
This Story Time is part of our Native American Student Art Show theme, Water is Life. After the story, children will enjoy a hands-on craft activity about water and then have the chance to explore the art exhibit and make their own Rain Stick to take home.
🌟 Free for children and a supervising adult.
