About this Event
Family Science Days: SEN hour booking
Join us for a quieter more relaxed session with fewer people and activities. Noise and lights will be turned down where possible and staff will be happy to make adjustments where they can.
NB not all activities will be open but you are welcome to stay as long as you like (no other tickets required). The main event opens at 10am.
Please only book this session if a child in your group has Special Educational Needs.
Join us for a jam-packed day of hands-on, interactive science activities suitable for all ages.
Build your own skull, be an architect for the day, and explore solar flares and the aurora borealis through a solar telescope, there's something for everyone!
Explore the evolution of gaming technology with arcade games, simulators and more. Get active at the interactive movement workshop exploring Body Science and Wellbeing. Enjoy our Living History of Science Show from Sir Isaac Newton, and help research what humans can learn from honeybees and their immunity mechanisms when under attack from viral infections in a fun interactive actvity called The Game.
Please only book for one day to allow as many families as possible to get involved. Most activities will run on both days.
Please show your tickets to collect a wristband on arrival- this will allow us to prioritise entry to busy areas and sessions.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
If you would like to book for the main sessions instead, please visit aru.ac.uk/events for the link.
