This is a family, all-inclusive ride for all types of bikes and all ages all types of riders, except for bikes with training wheels; adult trikes and recumbents are welcome! E-bike friendly. We will start at the shop and will ride on local trails to Creech Elementary where we will join other riders, walkers, and runners in celebrating Pedestrian Safety Month and commemorating life of Logan Dark. PLEASE WEAR GREEN - it is a color of pedestrian safety. Note from our co-organizer: October is National Pedestrian Safety Month. It also marks one year since Logan Dark, a freshman at Cinco Ranch High School, was struck and killed by a car while he was biking to school through a crosswalk on Mason Road. Last year, our community gathered around this time for a Ride to Remember and Celebration of Life. We invite you to gather as a community again this year… to remember Logan and to show your support for pedestrian and cyclist safety on our local roadways and hike-and-bike trails.Several bike, run, or walk routes will be marked on hike-and-bike trails. Routes range from a 1-mile family-friendly out-and-back to a 4-mile ride or run loop. There is no cost to participate, just an online waiver form. Popsicles will await all participants as well as several playgrounds, fishing holes, sport fields, and a parking lot for friendly conversations. Link to the waiver is posted in the comments.
