The South Garland Branch Library is a certified Family Place Library!
Our free Family Place Playtime Workshop is a special 5-week playtime for families with children ages 1-3 years old. Each week children and their parent/caregiver will enjoy quality time together playing and making friends. Parents/caregivers will have the chance to learn more about their child's development by talking one-on-one with a different specialist each week.
*** Due to limited space, registration is required to attend.***

Your registration is good for all five (5) weeks of the workshop.

GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP
The goal for our Family Place Playtime Workshop is:
- Promote child/parent/caregiver bonding
- Learning through play and exploration
- Parents/caregivers find answers to questions about their child's growth and development
- Supporting families and child/parent/caregiver health and betterment
EACH WEEK WE WILL HAVE:
- Toys for child-driven play
- An exploration activity station
- A brief circle-time at the end to help transition out of the playtime
- A different Child Development Specialist for parent/caregivers talk one-on-one with (free of charge)
- Community resources/educational brochures available to take home
