Have you ever wanted to bring a child to a sound bath? This can sometimes be difficult for children to be expected to lay down on a mat silently for an hour. So this class was made for them!
This will be a fun but relaxing class to keep your child engaged. All ages are welcome!
This class will be held by Christine Dennis who is also a registered children's yoga teacher. She will begin with some gentle stretching and mindfulness to get everyone into a calm state. Then there will be a 20-30 minute sound bath where your family can relax and enjoy the sounds. But the BEST part is.... the families will facilitate a sound bath after!
Children and adults will be given the opportunity to play the instruments! We will sit and work together to bring our instruments into harmony! (participation is optional)
This class will be relaxing but will not put you in the same state as a general soundbath due to being geared toward children.
Christine will go over some guidelines and let children know what to expect before the sound bath begins. But here's a few ways you can prepare your child:
- Let them for what to expect during a sound bath (laying or sitting down to music playing)
- Dress comfortably and bring any items that may allow you to relax more (pillow small blanket ect.)
- Bring water
Some of the instruments: gongs ,crystal bowls, himalayan bowls, oceam drums, rain sticks, chimes, drums and more!

Mats are limited. If you do not plan to bring your own mat please select the mat rental in the ticket sale ad-on.

Sound Baths are held at The Dancehouse in Point Loma. These classes are independent from The Dancehouse so any payments or questions will be through Christine. Her contact number is 619-500-3435 (text friendly)
Street parking only. The entrance to the Dancehouse is located in an alleyway and the parking spaces in the alley are reserved spots only. There are plenty of spots on the street during this class time.
