Chelmsford city centre is blasting off this October half-term with exciting, space-themed activities for children and families curated by Chelmsford For You - and Chelmsford Cathedral is ready to launch!Join our Assistant Director of Music Samuel Bristow for a fun, FREE, musical adventure through the stars! Taking inspiration from our visiting astronaut, Sam will be playing all your space-themed favourites on the Cathedral organ including music from Star Wars, E.T and 2001 A Space Odyssey. Sam will also perform a specially arranged version of Neptune from Holst’s much-loved The Planets.
Before the concert, bring the little ones along for a rocket-making craft activity starting at 11.30am. Let their imaginations soar as they create their very own rocket, preparing for an exciting musical adventure that’s out of this world!
This is a free event with no need to book, just come along! Adults must stay with their children throughout the event.
