About this course

A family learning course where you can recycle and re-use items. You will be able to make garden crafts to enhance the outdoor library space, as well as creating an example of each item to take home. Adults and their children can learn about re-cycling old containers to create something eye-catching and useful in the garden, as well as a bit of growing together!

Would you like to add colour and design to your garden, while re-using and recycling materials? Families will be able to learn to recycle materials while finding out a bit about growing plants.

You will be able to design your own garden crafts for home and to brighten the outdoor library space. This four- session course takes place on Fridays from 14th June to 5th July. The times are from 15.30 to 16.30 and will include the following activities;-

Session 1 – Re-use old brochures to create windmills.

Session 2 – Bring a selection of water bottles to make bird feeders and drinking stations.

Session 3 – Safely cut water bottles and paint them to make bright flower displays.

Session 4 – Bring two large tin cans to paint and plant decorative planters for the garden.
