In the lead up to Harmon Week I’ll be sharing the book ‘Bugs in a Blanket’ … which has a lovely message about embracing difference.Please join us for a small group of parents/grandparents and children (aged 4+ years) for a morning of guided rest, storybook reading and guided Art (inspired by the characters in the book ‘Bugs in a Blanket’.
This session is presented as part of the Sunshine Coast Council’s Healthy Sunshine Coast programme making Mindful Art experiences affordable and available for families to share. Cost is $10 child $10 adult (pay cash on the day). Babes in Arms welcome and appropriate for ages 4 years plus.
Bring a small pillow and blanket each for the 10 minute guided rest with gentle sound bowls and chimes at the beginning of the session.
Pack a picnic to enjoy on Kawana Island after on the little beach there or the ‘Double Bay Park’ with swings … the venue ‘The Meeting Place’ is air conditioned and spacious and clean and just near The Green Zebra Restaurant. Plenty of parking and a couple of cafes nearby. Nurcha family friendly vegan cafe is just 5 minutes up the road on Kawana Way.
