Family Honor Father-Son Retreat - Ohio

At the beginning of the Retreat, during our ‘Dads Only’ session, experienced Family Honor Presenters will speak to fathers about how you can be better prepared to talk about some of today's challenging moral issues with your son. While that session is going on, boys can choose from a lot of options in the Game Room!

Next, dads and sons are together while our Family Honor Presenters facilitate skits, videos, discussion, and questions and answers that cover many topics designed to help you and your teen make your relationship even stronger. Topics include:

> how to communicate more effectively in the family

> how to resist peer pressure and form healthy friendships

> how to develop yourself as a TOTAL person

> how to understand the gift of being created male and female; the reproductive process; and appreciating our fertility. PowerPoints with basic line drawings of male and female anatomy are shown.

You and your son will hear about God's gift of sexuality and the virtue of purity in a way that is hopeful, meaningful, and that respects the dignity of participants.

Dads, by attending this program together with your son, you'll be strengthening your bond with them and letting them know they can come to you to talk about ANYTHING.

Join with other dads and sons in an atmosphere that is fun, faithfully Catholic, and that offers true freedom in Christ to help your teen become the young man God is calling him to be!

The $75 (plus tax) registration price includes all meals and snacks, program materials, and retreat house day reservation. (Winter camping available if weather permits.) Local cabin lodging can be found on The Hocking Hills App. There are also rooms and cabins at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge.
