Please join us for an outdoor dance at Umstead Park in Chapel Hill on March 30!
(NOTE: Please do not get confused with William B Umstead STATE Park in Raleigh. We will NOT be there.)

We want to create an environment that allows parents to dance with each other and friends, while their children are close by. There may be some co-parenting between friends to allow this to happen! And the playground will hopefully provide some entertainment to the children when they tire of dancing and/or watching dancing.
We welcome those who are child free! Just be aware of the possibility that someone's child could interrupt your dance, either directly by asking you a question or indirectly because your current dancing partner's child has taken off towards the woods and they must run!

Find us at the shelter by the bathroom just up the hill from the playground. It is a little small, but the concrete is the SMOOTHEST floor of all the parks! Get ready for some swivels! Since this is a first-come-first-serve shelter, if someone is there and we arenโt able to gently nudge them out with our blasting music and swinging hips, we might have to utilize some of the open space in the grassy area, so bring shoes youโd be ok with possibly dancing outside in the grass.

This is another first come first serve shelter, so there is no cost to us to rent!
