In this workshop, explore the journey of self-discovery inspired by Christopher Myers' exhibition, "Please Trouble Carry Me", currently on view at the Gantt. Using alcohol ink to emulate fluid motion, participants will express themselves like water. Layering acrylic paint atop the ink, different facets of identity will be symbolized, followed by words written with paint pens, reflecting the poetic inspiration from Myers' work. Ultimately, the final artwork will either represent identity or pose the timeless question of "Who am I?". This workshop will be led by multi-dimensional teaching artist, Deneer Davis.
